The Japanese Garden shares its location with the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant. The Security Gate remains closed, until guests and employees are admitted, so you must check in with the on-duty security guard before you may enter.

The Japanese Garden is a 15 – 20 minute walk from nearby bus stops, including the Woodley Station of the Orange Line busway.
By Car
The Japanese Garden is about an 8 minute drive from the 405 and 101 freeway interchange. From the 405, take exit 65 for Victory Boulevard. From the 101, take exit 21 for Balboa Boulevard.
